Product Information
Billed as an "action-RPG," Grom is set against the backdrop of the early stages of World War II. After escaping a German labor camp, Colonel Grom endures a series of hardships until he finds himself once again in the midst of a Nazi conspiracy. Legend has it that the Lost City of King Arjuna houses 12 Doomsday weapons that the Third Reich is now attempting to appropriate for nefarious purposes. Adventuring in Tibet, players must command Grom and his ragtag band through seven chapters of mission-based play as they attempt to keep the Nazis from their goal. Combat takes place in real time and allows players to issue orders to individual units or to the team as a whole. The action can be paused at will, allowing players to size up their options and issue new movement orders, though no attack commands can be given in this state.

Characters do not gain experience as in regular RPGs; instead their weapon proficiency increases with frequent combat, allowing party members to become more adept with certain items. In order to maintain the party's combat efficiency, players will need to venture into towns and other neutral territories in order to purchase or bargain for goods. Once a merchant is encountered, bargain cards -- each reflecting a particular emotion or behavior -- can be utilized in an attempt to haggle for a cheaper price. As trading skill increases, more cards become available for use in future dealings. Striking up a conversation with particular NPCs presents the player with various options and topics, selection of which can alter the course and outcome of the conversation.Product Identifiers
