This flash is well-made, reasonably priced, and easy to use. It even has features that more well-known flashes don't have like a lock so you don't inadvertently change settings.I find that even though I bought the flash as an extra off-camera unit, I wind up using it as my main flash! Way to go, Nissin!

I havent used the Nikon equivalent so I cant make that comparison. However, I have used Metz and Sunpak and this one feels more sturdy, super quiet, and very consistent and predictable.
