Countless books exist to tell you how to be successful in the workplace, but almost none of them address how not to fail. We have all seen managers try to apply business models and strategies that should theoretically work, only to fall flat due to your office's underlying dysfunctions. This book covers patterns of dysfunction and failure, and provides recommendations on how to overcome them. It has been of more value and enlightening to me than any leadership or management training that I have received. This has the whit and insights of a Dilbert cartoon, but with answers. I cannot recommend this book enough, since it has fundamentally changed my understanding of management.
