elizabeth hoyts historical romances are intelligently written, hot, & gratifying
i enjoy hoyts books. she makes her characters more believable & interesting than alot of other historical romance authors. mickey the powerful river 'pirate' is handsome tough charming & street savvy, ruthless & vulnerable(im in love) & you know hes already infatuated (after a previous meeting) & cons her into staying w/ him to protect his baby that he gave her. of course theres the dangerous nasty villainn after them. this,imo,was the best bk out of the maiden series. *hot love scenes* you dont have to read the others to enjoy this one, but theyre all good. i bought this frm discover-books & it arrived in a week, they had the best price, & the book was in excellent condition.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
