Nice basic phone with extras.
The Samsung Convoy 2 is a good reliable flip phone for basic use plus PTP (Push To Talk). Tough design but not really waterproof. Headphone plug is the older 2.5 mm size but adaptors are readily available for about 2 or 3 dollars. The Convoy 3 has several improvements for about the same cost on EBay. This is my second CONVOY. My first lasted for four years and took a beating :) I am active and I tend to DROP it a lot :( I don't need a smartphone. I don't text. I TALK on my cellphone :) I receive calls on my cellphone :) That's IT :) I love this phone :) If you TEXT or need a phone to do online chores, this is NOT the phone for you. second convoy 2
This is my second Convoy 2. I had the first in my breast pocket and it fell into a fish pond. Goodbye. I paid a little extra for sooner delivery and it came two days later, on a Sunday! Quick and safe delivery. The feature I like best id the speaker. I'm losing my hearing and this helps. I ordered this phone to replace a smart phone, which had been replaced by a Samsung flip phone. which I had been using for over a year. I needed a rugged flip phone to carry in my pocket and which had a good battery life. My former phone (now broken) did not have a camera, which I sorely missed, but which this phone does have. I love the new phone. I spent $15.00 for the phone which included the charger! I spend $15.00 dollars a month for service - and this phone calls just as far as my smartphone, and if I lose it or break it (quite possible) I will order another one without feeling any remorse. In my house we have two tablets and two notebooks for internet use and business purposes. Does what it is supposed to do...unlike some android phone!
The phone never "drops" calls or do you have to shake it like some androids in order to view the screen that turns black. Love that companies like Tracfone can call this flip phone an "upgrade". Doesn't have wi-fi...and that's okay too! Sadly, it's basically now just a talk and/or text phone. None of the former features work anymore. You can receive emails though! Solid looking replacement for older flip phone
Nice looking. Supposed to come with a manual but not. Verizon wanted $33 to program each but upon insistence she waived it. Battery or Battery connections failed in one day for one unit of two we bought. swapped batteries and the one came back to life. jiggled and the other battery claimed to come back to being charged.
