The author does a good job of describing the origins of each Ivy League school and of charting their development across time. Comparisons among the universities are made for descriptive purposes, not to rank them against each other. As a Princeton University graduate, I found that chapter fair, engrossing, and informative. I think any person interested in American history would find this book rewarding.
