Canon AE-1 Program one of the BEST cameras of the film era!!
The AE-1 Program is a masterpiece of film simplicity. It adds a program mode to the already super popular and well respected AE-1 of 1976. This camera took some of the technology developed for the famed Canon A-1 and modernized the AE-1, with a revised user interface that surpasses even the A-1 in usability. There is one dial!! That is all!! The exposure modes are Program (P), Shutter Priority (Tv), and Manual (M). Mount an FD lens and set it in A, they you can switch at will from P to Tv using your finger. The metering is super accurate, and many photographers have preferred Tv exposure mode for its utility. It will also work with all the A-1 winders and motor drives. The AE-1 Program even steps out from the A-1 and offers interchangeable focus screens!!

Great Classic Film Camera from the 1980s.
Was fortunate to buy a fully restored mint condition body at great value. Acquired several vintage FD lenses and accessories including A2 auto film winder. With Kodak Ektar and Portra film have had a lot of fun relearning some of the old photography basics that you lose track of with a DSLR. Depending on the film scan quality this camera is still comparable to top of the line digital. Film has some interesting effects that expand the range of photo possibilities. Also have been able to use the old FD lenses on a new DSLR with an adaptor. Nothing bad to say about the product, just need to make sure you get one in good condition. Similarly all the lenses I acquired have been mint quality. Shooting film slows you down (both costwise and wait for development). But nice to have as an alternate to new technology.

Great Vintage Gear
All of the equipment arrived in a timely manner. All of the lenses work properly and are in great condition. The camera is in good working order and very good condition. The only discrepancy is that the camera is an AE-1 and not an AE-1 Program. But that is ok, because the person I purchased the camera for prefers to work with it in a completely manual mode. Very pleased with communication with the seller and the timely delivery of the equipment. Thanks for a great experience.

This is a "Real Camera" !!!
Thank you Cannon for this beautiful work of art. This camera lets you get your mind and heart into photography. It won't upload, download, email or store 5000 pics on a chip. It can however do selfies. The thing that I like best about it is the whole process you get to engage yourself in. And the reward you get for using your brain when you see the stunning images that are possible. Not letting a computer do what computers do, which is " NOTHING ".

Great buy, no regrets!
My Canon AE-1 Program came with a set of 3 lenses (28mm, 28-85mm and 80-200mm) in great working condition. The metering is accurate working great every time. It does get some getting used to in the transition from digital to analog, but by my second roll I got the hang of it and the pictures developed nicely.

Oldie, but a goodie
I had always wanted this Canon model. Only in later years, after some research, did I realize what what a ground baking camera this was. Fully programmed metered exposure control. And it still works great. This camera is almost like new with a very clear viewfinder.

Nice backup to my Canon A1 model.
I read a few reviews of the Canon AE-1 Program which left a good impression with me. I already owned a Canon A1 camera body and since both cameras used the same lens mount, I decided to look at purchasing the AE-1 Program as a backup. My version of the AE-1 Program was in decent condition when purchased. It had the infamous Canon shutter squeal but thanks to reviews, I was able to repair the problem myself. I highly recommend this camera if you are a Canon user due to its capabilities and easy to find Canon FD mount lenses.

Camera looks good, no dings the the lens with all lens provided looks very good. Meter seems to work. Haven't had a chance to take ANY PICTURES YET, will update when I do. Motor drive has loose contacts in the battery compartment but I think I can gix that.
