Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure is a very neat game. It is a skate boarding game along the lines of the Tony Hawk games out there. The difference being, this is a Disney game. I myself have played both, and personally love the Disney version better. Also, this game is more appealing to the younger audience that may want to get into the skate boarding games. You can pick your character to skate board with depending on the Movie map you enter into. All of the available worlds and characters are listed below: Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 2 Maps Andy's Room Pizza Planet Zurg's World, Xrghthung! Characters available for these maps: Buzz Lightyear Woody Jessie Zurg Disney's Tarzan Maps Jungle Tree House Human Camp Clayton's Ship Character's Available for these maps: Young Tarzan Young Jane Young Terk Young Tantor Disney's The Lion King Maps Pride Rock Elephant Graveyard Scar's Canyon Characters available for these maps: Young Simba Rafiki Pumbaa & Timon Young Nala And last but not least there is a map called Olliewood. This map is a giant real world level with movie theater, grocery store, and even a skatepark. In this level you can create your own character. The create a skater option comes with head, torso, leg, scale, and board options, along with naming your skater. Overall, I would say this is a very fun game for the whole family. I would recommend this to any who love a good skate boarding game and/or Disney. It will provide great fun over and over again.Read full review
We bought this for our five year old. When it got here, we figured we, the parents would have to show him how to play since we played all the Tony Hawk games. Little did we know.......He blew us right out of the water! This game has the same playstyle and control functions as the Hawk games but MUCH EASIER! All the great characters from the Disney hits make this a hit for young and old. Who would a thought being an elephant from the Tarzan movie would be so much fun ON A SKATEBOARD?! If you can get this game for less than $10-15, its a great deal and well worth it for both the younger players and the older ones!
My two kids (7 & 8 years old) loved this game. It allows kids to pick one of the Disney characters and perform multiple skateboard tricks in different rooms or arenas. The game is pretty easy to use. Combination key presses earn more points for the tricks that are performed. The game is very kid friendly, no violence or bad language. I rented the game once and ended up purchasing a copy on eBay.
I bought this for my kids and I love Disney. I like the characters: Simba, Timon and Pumba, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Tarzan, and 2 kids. There are different courses from the movies, challenges, Free skate, and special moves. The characters look just like in the movies. Dislikes: The music isn't good because its not Disney music or go with the game. Husband says its just boring. Its not enough action and adventure. My 11 year old says its to easy. Compares to the same controls of Tony Hawk games.
I bought this because my brother and I had a demo of it when we were little and absolutely loved it. It's still fun and the soundtrack is fantastic but the controls seem a little clunky and sometimes it takes the characters forever to get up once they fall. Some of the missions are very difficult and frustrating which makes me wonder how this game was marketed towards children because when my girlfriend and I play two player, a lot of cursing results!
