Heavy duty chopper.
I gave it five stars because of the price. The quality is way better than I expected, it is stainless and very heavy, just what I wanted. I am not a butcher, If I were there are a lot of fine quality expensive choppers out there that I would probably want. Mine came reasonably sharp and the handle was quite dry, I wiped the wood down with mineral oil (the same that I use for my butcher block). This thing will last longer than me. I like the quality for the price but i would call it a factory second. the metal on the tang is not flush with the wood on the handle so if you were using it for a allot of chopping your hand would get a braided by the 1/6 of an inch protruding metal. Happy Chops
I grew up in my father's meat shop. In the hook forequarters 225 pounds , hind quarters 175 pounds. I learned to cut meat. This cleaver rates highly in my book. I also cook and it's an excellent acquisition must have for every kitchen. Well balanced, holds an edge. Great purchase.
