At first, $90+ seemed reasonable compared to the expense and inconvenience of a body shop, but I underestimated how much value I would need to add. Granted, I knew I'd have to paint and attach it, but that means I needed primer, paint, clear coat, a sprayer kit & multiple sprayers, sand paper, adhesive, grease remover, auto tape, and rubbing compound. It took many hours over the course of a week to apply the multiple coats of paint, sand in between, apply the clear coat, attach it to the vehicle, and do the rubbing compound. In the end it looks pretty good, but the texture is slightly different from the rest of the vehicle (probably just because I'm not experienced at this). If this were $10 or $15, then it would probably be worth it, but for $90+, I probably should have just gone to the body shop!
The part fit perfect had it painted and installed I'm concerned this one will crack as the OEM ones that come with the truck all do. Hopefully this one will hold up to the test of time and keep making the truck look good.
