This is a great deal for the price. Nice, solid stainless steel, and easily the cutting quality of scissors selling for about $15-$20. Not for professional everyday use but excellent for at home now-and-again use, those light thinning jobs you need here-and-there.

The teeth aren't sharpened correctly, which causes it to bend a lot of the hairs without cutting them. This damages cuticles and causes split ends. These shears just aren't safe to use on hair because of the damage they're going to cause. On top of that they don't open and close in the way they would if they were of decent quality. They sometimes snag hairs just from the scissors closing, and definitely don't do the close and pull technique to guide the cut hairs away with the scissors. A good pair needs to be able to do this safely but these catch on the hair when you try that. You can see in the pictures that the notches which are supposed to catch the hairs and cut them, are only in some of the teeth and gone completely on the outside and inside of the scissors. Even the notched teeth aren't all totally sharp.Read full review

I have super thick hair and I’ve always been afraid to touch it, but something had to happen after my one and only hair lady decided she was too busy to take my business. So I found these.. and man, what a life saver they are! I thinned out more hair than most people have on their whole head before I was finished and it was so simple and easy to do. I’ll still need to go in for shape ups and trims, but this is great for in betweens. Im a happy customer!

Feels nice in your hands (not cheaply made) Works really well on my horses thick coarse mane so would be fabulous for human hair.
