  • Haunting masterpiece!

Elizabeth Taylor delivers another masterful performance as Leonora, an aging prostitute who has lost her daughter to drowning. She encounters a mad Mia Farrow who has just lost her mother and is convinced Elizabeth is the reincarnation of the dead woman. The prostitute and the mad girl live together in Mia's fabulous mansion but insanity is about to erupt into a shocking conclusion. This is a five star movie that was lambasted by critics and fans alike when released in 1968 but is now regarded as an art-house masterpiece.

  • Just a superb film with Hollywood heavy weights exploring delicate issues.

I was amazed at the subject matter in this DVD, which I saw many years ago when it was first released. This is a terrific film which touches on issues of alienation, incest and mental health conditions.

  • It's OK Not a great Liz film

It was a so-so depressing film, I bought it because it was Liz Taylor and Robert Mitchum and kept it.

  • Excellent

Forgotten Elizabeth Taylor curio. Like " Driver's Seat " and "Ash Wednesday".
