BEST BOOK
I'm only about 9 chapters in. This book has immaculate writing. The idea that this book is somehow boring or dry and unfulfilling is the worst sort of opinion to have, but considering the content of The Silmarillion it is not just a bad opinion. It's also wrong. The Silmarillion is the creation myth of Tolkien’s universe. Like the King James Bible, translated into beautiful English by the brilliant Tyndale, this book is as much poetry as prose. I bought the Audiobook first, fell in love, and wanted to read the original slowly, making note of the order of creation and events.
