Fantastic Serger
Baby Lock air threading sergers are hands down the easiest to use – easy to set up, easy to thread and no tension settings. The Ovation was Baby Lock’s former top of the line product which has now been replaced by the Triumph. The only major difference between the two is the Triumph has air needle threading in addition to air looper threading. The Ovation is a pleasure to use. Once set up you achieve perfect results no matter what fabric you use and with no changes to tension settings. It is easy to switch from stitch to stitch and more importantly simple to switch from overlock to chain or cover stitch. Baby Locks are high quality machines, and the Ovation can now be purchased far more reasonably than it’s originally top of the line price tag. It is a good choice for an excellent, full-featured, top of the line serger if it can be found in good condition from a reputable seller. GREAT machine!
Definitely a learning curve but this machine has fantastic capabilities. The 'air threading' is a dream, I have another make serger that is the top of their line and used it rather infrequently because threading was such a pain.
