these kenwood kx1030's are well built tape machines. excellent sound quality play and record. only flaws it can have noisy mylar capacitors in dolby circuit. "record and play" and dificult to troubleshoot if no experience with this problem. back tension felt pad on erase head needs fluffed up after so many hours to record properly. only weakness this tape deck has.Verified purchase: Yes

Perfect replacement.
Exact replacement for the one I had in that same deck but one difference. The date on the motor was one week earlier . I had to adjust the speed by ear , so far it sounds spot on .
