Great Dessert book!
Put hubby and I on a low fat diet recently and so far it's working. However, sweets were still our downfall (chocoholics). I've had no problem finding tasty low fat entrees and sides that include MEAT (hubby has to have meat every day) and real people ingrediants. However, sweets recipes have been awful, with authors cutting out all the fat and sugar and not replacing it with any that tastes good so recipes were bland, and not worth the effort to make them. I had heard good things about this book and luckily, I found it here on ebay cheap! I've made a couple things out of it that were AWESOME! a few more calories than the recipes I had found before, but these were edible, generous portions and still drastically reduced in fat, with a significant reduction in calories as well. Hubby is happy. He's lost 40 pounds on the new low fat regime, and now he won't be cheating as much on high fat sweets at work when he knows that good tasting sweets are on the menu again at home.Read full review

Healthy home style cooking by Evelyn Tribole
All the recipes are basic staples that most already have in the pantry.I first read it in the wellness center @ our local hospital where heart patients and other health problem patients go for rehab,now i'm a cook book junkie so immediately started reading and had to find it so my favorite place to shop is e-bay found it bought it for myself and another lady who watches fat,cholestorol,calories and loves to cook. This is a great cook-book with beautiful pictures I recommend this book to everyone who is weight concious,health concious and likes to cook for themselves or others.......minnie

Great Cookbook!
Tribole's cookbooks offer good instructions and excellent tips for those wanting to cut the fat and sugar in foods they are used to eating. Her recipes are always very flavorful with good texture. For those of us who enjoy many of the comfort foods we grew up with and also the more trendy foods of the day (like seafood linguine -- so delicious you don't even miss the pound of butter!), this is a must-have cookbook.
