The single most important nutrition book I have ever read. Not an easy read. Yet a hugely powerful book in my life, for my overall health. A shock when you realize the solution is proper eating, with essential knowledge about which oils do what. And it turns your stomach to know this knowledge has been around for so long, and traditional medical providers have such closed minds, and hungry pocketbooks that they still don't allow it. Per the book she had a 90% success rate at a time when traditional medicine had a less than 18% success rate. This book's older cover edition did not have the actual diet described in kitchen application detail. I haven't read it with this new cover. I used the diet for restoration of many issues I had with aging creeping up on me. Six weeks, and a chronic tenderness in my left hip, which I'd had for over a year, disappeared, and a twinge didn't come back for many months after I stopped the diet. So I've applied the principles ever since and never had a twinge again. I got this book after reading "How to Fight Cancer and Win" by Fischer which has better "how to," accurate, diet instructions for the actual practical Johanna Budwig diet. Sloppy applications without understandng the true diet are hit or miss. so take the time to reread at least 3 times. Underline it, The vocabulary is hard at first for a layman. But do it. To eliminate the not so good oils at the same time, is very key per Dr. Budwig, but many secondary sources fail to give you that kind of essential information about the diet. So go to the true source. This lady was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine more than once. Take her very seriously. I've recommended this diet to many people.Read full review
Dr. Johanna Budwig, Biochemist, 1908–2003, was one of the foremost authorities on fats and oils in the World. She researched and developed the Budwig diet which she used to bring many people back from the brink of death by eliminating the cancers from their bodies. This book details her life long work to that purpose. I bought this excellent book at the recommendation of THE CANCER TUTOR.COM. This book confirms what I have been learning about the medical profession. Diet is every thing. You can cure cancer on the proper diet. I have never really trusted doctors. I question what else greedy doctors are lying about. I believe this diet will probably cure heart issues, diabetes, dementia and arthritis. I purchased this book for further confirmation that what you eat can cure cancer. I think a great disservice has been done to this lady. I tried being a vegetarian to cure cancer and it works. I now know about flaxseed oil. I wish I could meet the author and thank her.
