Received a copy of this "must read" pregnancy guide as a gift when pregnant with my first. Loved all the detail on what was happening with both the baby's development and mom's body. All the way from the first two cells coming together to the end when your water breaks, this book presents concise, relevant information that will leave you in wonder at this little life growing inside you. My husband and I enjoyed sitting down each week and reading the section that we would soon be experiencing. Now I can't wait to present the book to my friends who are experiencing the joys of pregnancy. Would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to know more about their developing bundle of joy.
I truly loved this book. You personalize it for your pregnancy starting at the end of the book with entering your baby's due date, and working backward day-to-day, filling in the dates. It's not so much a journal (although there are some places where you can jot things down in this book) as a daily diary of what is happening with you and your baby. For example, an entry might read "By now, your baby's fingernails are fully formed." It hightened the connection I felt with my baby as she grew and developed. I usually read it aloud to my husband which helped him to be more involved in what was happening with her and how I was changing as well. Excellent book and terrific keepsake!
I love this journal! It helps a soon to be mom keep notes on her pregnancy; how she is feeling emotionally, physically and it teaches the mom a few things along the way. I had searched for other journals but they came up short. One of the main reasons why I prefer this book, is because it's not bias to race or religion. I also like the fact that it is a hard cover, last longer. I would buy one of these journals' with every pregnancy!
I loved this journal so much during my pregnancy that I make it a point to get it for my pregnant friends. I like that it gives you a daily update and a chance to record what you experience throughout your pregnancy. I love looking back at what I wrote. The stories/customs of other cultures are interesting to read about in this journal as well.
Everyday I get little updates on the growth of my baby. It gives me helpful pointers and places where to update my weight and size. I filled one out for my first child and it is great to look back and remember my pregnancy and I wanted one for my second child.
