I purchased this book for my Introduction to Political Science class. I really like this book for its analytical look on politics. Like most people I can be quite frustrated with how things in the government are and I also have my own personal political views. This book does an excellent job in teaching readers an unbiased approach to studying political science. Reading this book I feel has helped me become more informed and has actually solidified several new ways I look at politics and government policy. The only thing I would caution about this book is that if you are an advanced political science major or someone who is already very enlightened with the political system you may be frustrated by the "basicness" of this book as it is meant for introduction to politics classes. However, there are still good theories in it and if you are looking for a book that you can reference for basic concepts, well, this text sits before you. Thank you for reading.
