This book is very motivational about how to make the "Next Third" of your life the best yet. We all know exercise is important but this book tells you specifically, in terms that are easy to understand, what changes occur in our bodies when we get moving. There are other factors discussed that lead to a full happy life after 50. You will want to share it with all your family and friends.

This book is very good at translating a lot of exercise/diet lingo into laymans terms by explaining how your various body systems works. For the first time, I understand WHY exercise is so important. Unfortunately, the book is written for the wealthy retired person more than the average aging American. An extremely successful lawyer and an MD have no concept of the challenges faced by those of us living on very limited incomes. I barely survive on Social Security (a whopping $750 a month), so it takes every penny to just pay utilities, medicare and medigap, pharmacy and Dr bills all the while praying the car doesnt break down, etc. I dont have the money to go biking in the Alps or even cross country skiing in Aspen, CO. I dont have the money to join a gym--the nearest of which is 30 miles away. So, if youre wealthy, youll LOVE this book. If youre like me, just the average older American scraping by after working all your life, youll LEARN a lot about that factors of aging, but you won't be able to enact about 70% of the exercise recommendations.Read full review
I really like the information in this book. It addresses several areas of a person's life that need tweeking as one gets older. The one thing that I did not like about this book is that Chris Crowley lets show his own rough personality through by using swear words throughout the book. His sentences would have made just as much sense and appealed to a large audience of women without the 'colorful' language included. Not every woman likes to hear or read these words so frequently. 'Or at all. Even in today's world of 'anything goes'. I really hope that the authors come out with an edited version of this book. I would recommend it to all my friends!
