SynopsisThe Salamanders attempt a daring rescue mission deep in Dark Eldar territory in order to reveal more secrets held within the Tome of Fire. When Chaplain Elysius of the Salamanders is taken captive by Dark Eldar, he faces a fight for survival at the hands of these cruel aliens. The Firedrakes of 1st Company attempt a daring rescue mission, but much more is at stake than the Chaplain's life. He holds the key to secrets buried beneath Mount Deathfire, secrets that could reveal the damnation - or salvation - of their home world.
Overall an enjoyable experience with compelling action and dialogue.
I personally enjoy Nick Kyme’s writing and have always been a Salamander fan. This book sates my need to read more about the sons of Vulkan.
In this book you will get to see the Salamanders in action and the action scenes are quite compelling. Dialogue between characters is equally compelling as it reveals more lore to you about the Warhammer 40k universe.
Some people will take issue with Nick Kyme’s style of writing or with this book itself, but in my opinion this book offers an enjoyable reading experience. You get to read about space marines fighting against the enemies of humanity, what more could you want?
Overall, if you enjoy reading about space marines or about 40k in general then give this book a whirl!
