These phones are great for people who don't care about hi-tech cell phones and just want a phone that works well. These pick up signals as good as any I've seen and they hold up well. They can be bought at bargain prices. They are good for about 5 days of 24 hr stand-by time or 4 hours of talk time before they need charged. They fit nicely in the pants pocket. They're durable and can typically handle being dropped from a few feet and still be ok. I've been using this ever since they came out and don't even want anything else. It's great as a basic cell phone, but don't plan to do a lot of text messaging. You will have to push the same key a few times until you get the letter you want. Not a phone for nowadays teenager...
Have dropped this baby 5 feet onto concrete surface, several times. Sometimes the cover or back pops off. Pick it up, put it back together, and it works just fine. The ultimate test was when I forgot it was in pants pocket and put it thru a 30-minute cycle in the clothes washing machine. (Was horrified when I realized it !). Recovered it from the bottom of the tub, took it apart and dried it with a hair dryer (cool setting), put it back together . . . . and . . . . it worked just fine ! Samsung's latest ad shows idiot pouring a bottle of (wine? soda?) over his new "water resistant" Samsung S6. Big deal, that ain't nothing.

If you want a cell phone that is rugged, reliable and simple to use, you cannot beat the Nokia. If you want a small computer that fits in your pocket, don't bother.

we used this phone while working as police officers in the 90's and found it to be reliable and sturdy. We purchased and continued using these phones until they wore and spare parts wore out. They were dropped, sat on, and even dropped in water and continued working. We spend alot of time in a dead cell phone zone and have little or no problem with our phone. Even though they are simple and dated we like the way they work and will continue using until the new ones wear out.
My husband loves this phone because it is simple to use and lasts forever. I know someone who accidentally ran over it and it still worked. Ours has fallen to the bottom of the hot tub. It dried out and a few days later works perfectly. I bought several as back ups since they just don't make them like this anymore.
