Always use oem tools on AMG cars.
This was exactly what I needed. Went to do my first self C43 AMG oil change, and who every did it last over torqued it and the cheap auto parts ones just spun. The oem one worked perfect.

1997 C230 Perfect Fit
Don't bother with all other filter wrenches. This is the one you need. It slips right on, and it may even seem loose, but once you start turning it grips great! In case some "agricultural" mechanic over tightened the filter before you, there is a screw hole on the side, where you can install a little screw and take the stubborn filter cap off. If I remember correctly, you will need a 22 mm socket for this tool. SAE 7/8 socket will also work. I'm very happy with this purchase!
