This camcorder has dual movie making ability using both 2 gig SD flash card and mini dvd dual layer and double sided disks. It is easy to use and has awsome 34x optical zoom. I purchased my original around 10 years ago and is still working great. I liked it so much that I purchased another and it works great as well. Because of short battery life, I suggest getting new batteries of at least 1000ma.

I had one of these cameras before and it worked great. This one I have not been able to enjoy yet because it wont stay on but a few seconds. Checkiing into buying a new battery, hopefully this fixes the problem. If it doesn't, that means it was a bad purchase.

Although a bit outdated, not high def and not as light as most modern camcorders, it is a relatively nice camera with lots of nice features. A mini DVD recorder and player. I had one before and sadly, it got dropped and quit working. (Granny's fumbly fingers)! I liked the way it worked then and decided that I wanted another one after I tried a few other basic digital cameras, (HD as well), and found them to be too "cheaply made" for the high prices, difficult when editing, and short battery life spans. Those pesky time and date stamps/counters/function icons could not be removed from the other camera's images unless computer edited. I liked the features on this one as it had the on/off date and time feature in the menu plus some pretty cool editing functions. I can hook it up to any TV/DVD recorder with RCA input jacks and it works fine! Editing is a breeze! Christmas greetings are much simpler to produce and copy on DVD format. I can always upload contents of the SD card or disc to the computer later. It has pretty good quality photo shots and fairly clean videos in normal mode for an older model. You can still find the mini +/-R DVDs, (NOTE: Deleting and clearing re-writable discs only works on -R/RW). It also supports dual layer mini DVDs, but they can be "a bit too pricy" and a real pain to find at your local stores (although they hold a lot of data). I think I paid a bit more than I would have liked for an older model, but I got a "new" one with a 1 year warranty and all the goodies to go with it. Even though not High Def, I do not mind this one at all. I already knew how to use it when I got it. It is a keeper.Read full review
Very nice camera and easy to use and figure out. I didn't have a manual and menu functions were still rather simple to navigate. Lightweight camera without having that 'cheap' feel when using. Impressed. Nice having the 16x9 option in menu. Very good camera for the money. One thing I've not been thrilled with is zoom function could be more controllable. Tendency to be somewhat intermittant zoom (hesitant especially when zooming out) though nothing out of the ordinary for majority of camcorders on the market. All and all very nice camera and good bang for the buck!
Item was delivered on time. It is working as expected. I am not sure though if battery, not included, was mentioned in the advertisement. It came out without the chargeable battery.
