Disturbing but real
As a child my mother couldn't ever bear to show her children this movie. She had a hard time watching it because of some abuse she had endured. Eventually I watched it and liked the film mostly because it was a movie she didn't want me watching. As an adult, I find this movie especially interesting because I wonder how much of the story is exaggerated. After all, the book was writing after Christine Crawford and her brother were left out of the will of their mother's. However it may be all very true. It's a film that raises so many questions of the actress Joan Crawford and the performances are spectacular. Whether or not there's complete truth in the story, it makes for a very disturbing and realistic look into child abuse.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
