    Worn out pumps

    Purchased 2 used pumps, neither worked very well, last one was pretty dead, wouldn't lift the top. All these pumps are at least 14 years old, and worn out. Found I could have them rebuilt at TopHydraulics for $400 with a new motor installed. Much better deal, and a warranty!

    Unit did not produce enough pressure to operate a convertible top.

    Performed worse than my original hydro pump. Not enough pressure to lift the top. Was this tested to determine the pump pressure output or simply test the motor, which did work?
