Anamoly solution
For years the excellent GM 3800 V6 engine had a problem with the plastic bypass connectors that channels heated coolant to the heater via the fan belt idler base and two hoses. After a few years these plastic parts crack and leak coolant. Replacing them with these metal connectors will solve that problem permanently. A YouTube video shows you how to replace them easily. The 3800 engine was available in all large GM cars (except Cadillac) from the late '70's to '06-'10 brands.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

What should have came on the GM 3800 from the factory
I used these on a 2000 Buick Lesabre with the 3800 series 2. I did buy ac delco o-rings for them. I read a review that said the ac delco o-rings were just a little bit bigger, and I didn't want to take a chance on leaks. I'm not saying that they would have it's just a lot of work to do the job. Better Elbows then OEM plastic ones

Nice but o rings need improvement
Nice upgrade from the plastic OEM style that break. Only down fall to these is the O rings melt from the heat this is my second set of them. Although this time I put some all purpose grease on the o rings before assembly to help seal them up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
