    Makes searching for shark teeth and shells easier!

    This scoop is lightweight and easy to carry. It extends several feet (a lot longer than I expected!) so you don't have to bend over as much, and so you can try to catch shells the waves have started to pull away. It's a bit pricier than other ones I've seen in tourist shop stores, but it's longer, more adjustable, and the metal sieve is a bit smaller. It still won't catch the tiniest of shells and shark teeth, but those ones aren't all that exciting anyway! this will save your back if you want to pick up and check out a lot of things, but you get sore from bending over all the time!

    Dual purpose beach comber and walking stick

    Item is great for beach combing the basket and handle comes of and becomes a walking stick. The ergonomic handle is made of cork(assuming that if you dropped it the water the cork handle would help it float). The handle also has an adjustable wrist so you are able to let go and have use your hand without putting the item down. I use this for rock picking in Lake Michigan this item allows me to rock pick even when the lake isn’t quit warm enough for me to get into it. Even when the water is still warmer, deeper and possibly rough you can still easily grab items off the bottom. This item is sturdy and strong whether the item is unextended or fully extended to the full 61”.

    I have not used this product yet. I am rating the construction and appearance only! It looks as good as it does in the ad. After taking it apart, and adjusting the length several times, it is pleasantly tight when adjusted for length. It is light in weight, yet sturdy enough to put pressure on when scooping up shells, sharks teeth or ocean glass. The stainless steel scoop is removable. I consider this a very good buy JB.
