The old one was all worn out after 20 + years.
My pump was no longer working properly and the old leather washer was quite worn out. I could make it still work by using some leather conditioner but that was temporary. The new washer works great. The real deal
If you have a vintage Silva floor pump then you need one of these to restore the pump’s ability to compress the air. My Silca was bought from Mr.Happiness himself, Mel Pinto in 1987 so 33 years later it was due to fail. When I took it apart the leather was so dried out that it crumbled like a potato chip.
