A bit overpriced in my opinion
This collection is 'mildly' entertaining, (don't expect it to be as entertaining as the Blondie feature films are)... and the quality of the DVD's are what I would consider to be as 'good'... but this was not what I would consider to be one of my wiser purchases. I paid over $20 total, to get this 4 DVD collection. In my personal opinion, $10 with free shipping would have been a more fair price for this little set.

Rare TV Classic is a Classic Treat!
Rarely seen classic comedy! What fun!! This 1957 sitcom of Chic Young's classic comic strip stars Arthur Lake, reprising his role of Dagwood Bumstead which he played in the Columbia Pictures "Blondie" movies. Pamela Britton takes on the role of Blondie. At first, I wasn't sure I could get used to someone besides Penny Singleton in the role. I was used to seeing Pamela Britton as the dithery Mrs Brown on "My Favorite Martian", but she handles the role quite well. The prints are terrific, with clear picture and sound. If you love "Blondie", you'll love this series!!!

Highly recommended with crystal clear picture!
Handsomely packaged 4 dvd set. Has short printed synopsis of each episode. Picture and sound quality is excellent. The casting is perfect! Fun to see little George "Foghorn" Winslow, and Harold Peary (The Great Gildersleeve) in supporting roles. Highly recommended if you love vintage sitcoms.

love any thing blondie & dagwood! lake & singleton were the perfect fit for blondie & dagwood bumstead! but pamela britton slipped into the part of blondie quite well in the tv series & was perfect on my favorite martian as mrs. brown
