For anyone wanting a Rolex Datejust I would recommend considering a Seamster Aquaterra. At 38.5mm I think it wears better than a 36mm or new 41mm Datejust, the rubber strap is more comfortable and stylish than a oyster or jubilee bracelet, you get to see the (arguably) more advanced co-axial movement, and the textured teak-inspired disk is better than any Datejust dials. You also get to avoid the divisive cyclops and a more symmetric layout with the date at 6 o'clock. And the Aquaterra is less expensive! Definitely worth a look. Note: in photos the hands and strap always look more black, but in real life the strap is much closer to a slate grey color and the hands switch between a polished silver or polished black, depending on how the light hits it.
