Solid servicable spd pedals
I use PD-M747 pedals on all of my bikes over the last 8 years and keep a spare set I've never needed. The bodies are solid and unlikely to be damaged even when I get them second hand. Pedals can be serviced even without special tools although it may eventually damage the plastic sleeve. The only complaint I've ever heard of them is their inability to shed mud.
