I bought this strategy guide because if you've ever played Baten Kaitos, then you'd know that there is way too much going on to keep track of--or even know about! I have nothing against my seller, nor the game makers, but simply against the author, David Cassady. Dude, have you ever used a spell check before? Not only was this guide poorly written, but it was confusing, poorly laid out, and some of the information was completely false. Malpercio was a "light and chronos" enemy? What the heck?! Since when have final bosses ever been light--especially when they use attacks called "Dark Arrow," which for players is a clear announcement of the foe's dark and wind traits. And no, Cassady did NOT state that it was weak against those elements. The maps in the guide are so poorly laid that I thought I was a kid again matching scrambled pictures with lines from a Highlights magazine. I found myself going online and looking at GameFAQs.com for the sections of information that Cassady had ommitted. Who is your editor? You should both be fired. Oh, Nintendo and Prima, where are you???Read full review

Other than some of the boss elements are wrong, this is a strong strat guide for Baten Kaitos. Great game, lots of side quests, and the guide takes you through each of them. The pages are a bit scrambled, pertaining to side quests, some of which you cannot start until much later in the game. Bradygames could have revamped the guide before sending it out to the public-editors where are you? But it does seem like those that played the game wrote it, the things that were wrong do tend to look like human errors not computer errors. In all, if you like strategy games and want to make sure that all sidequests are done and all magnus are collected, this strat guide does the trick.
Baten Kaitos is one of the best Gamecube Exclusive games to have ever been released. Through the backwards compatibility of the Nintendo Wii; you don't have to go looking to buy a Gamecube to continue enjoying this game. This official strategy guide on the other hand, is satisfactory but the layout of the guide leaves something to be desired. There are some very in-depth lists that are handy; but they are a little confusing on how to utilize things such as obtaining new cards through doing combos.
I am a player of video games for so much time that I remember no longer, the problem now it is that I have aged and now with work and family (thanks to God!) I have little time to play, for this reason I should take advantage of the little time of game and for that reason I need to go to the grain in the games! This Strategic Guide is exactly what needed!
