    Great heavy duty tool

I bought this to install 300 feet of pvc pipe. I made bracket and a mole to attach to the rear of it and attached the pipe to it with a short piece of chain. It pulled it right in. I only wish my 3 pt. hitch went lower to the ground or the blade was a little longer so I could have buried it deeper. In areas where I couldn't pull the pipe I used the subsoiler to rip a trench with a couple of passes.

    Pins holes

Review by ngraham is correct, i bought this way before his review about the issue as we do custom works ourselves, I brought it to Titans attention and got $10 refund which was not the point, i advised them of the pin hole not even working with the standard Reese hitches sold just about everwhere, seems titans didn’t consider what i had noted and i did send several pics of before and after fix we did. Basically you have to cutoff the tips of both plates so the ripper tube will go back more and allow the pin to go through. I do find it ODD Titans did NOT fix the issue on their design yet. Until they update their listing of the fix i do-Not recommend it if you are not a know how to modify metals. It does work fine once you align pin holes.. Its about and 30 minute job to modify the ripper to get it fixed.

  • Excellent tool !

I've used it with a bucket adapter on my tractor to start a shallow trench and to remove small bushes, loosen rocks etc. works well for what I intend to do with it, just go slow as you would do with any soil tool.

  • Hitch pin location

This is a good little ripper, but the hole drilled for the pin in the receiver is too close to the ripper shank and will not let this go in far enough to allow it to be pinned into the hitch. I will need to either remove material from the gusset or re-drill the hole to be able to use this. This isn't a problem for me, but could have been made correctly from the beginning.

  • Didn’t work for my tractor

The ripper appears to be well made however it doesn’t offer various hole height adjustments. This ripper wasn’t a good mate for my category 0 garden tractor because of height issues. Even with the 3 point hitch raised to its highest height the shank still dragged but this would not be an issue for tractors with taller tires and more ground clearance.

  • Sub soiler tooth

Works great tearing up soil that has been over grown with trees. really like the idea of being able to change it out quickly using a standard 2" reciever

  • Built by someone that studied common core math.

Pros-- well built. cons, some one could have tried it on a receiver hitch before welding the tube on, 1/2 inch to short on the pin hole. Had to cut the gusset back and reweld.

  • Hitch Mounted Ripper

I had requirement to dig a 100' trench to bury a cable/internet line in a PVC conduit. Didn't want to do it by hand so I thought I'd give this ripper a try. Working slowly so if I hit something I'd lift the ripper pulling large rocks in the process, backed up, then continued till the whole project was complete. This on my John Deere 3038e made quick work out of if. Glad I bought it!

  • Draining my swampy fields

This subsoiler functioned flawlessley. The earlier failure issues appear to have geen corrected with the addition of a stiffener down the center of the hitch tube.
