So I got a 1974 Maverick after having a 1973 Nova and really hated the stock steering pump. I decided that I wanted to get a Saginaw styled pump like what I was used to with the Nova, and saw this one. It was relatively cheaper than other options. It arrived on time with everything included in the photo, however it did not come with an extremely important part that is needed, which is the power steering fitting needed for the pressurized hose. Install was simple enough, and it works better than the stock steering pump that was on my car, HOWEVER it leaks. Now you might be thinking that it's from the old fitting I had to use with it, but it's actually somehow leaking from the bolt that you tighten/loosen to adjust the tension on the belt. I'm not sure how, but it just is. If you can deal with the leak, as it's only dripping and some Teflon tape has seemed to have taken care of it, then I'd say this pump is worth it compared to the stock 302 pumps that came on Mavericks and other cars around the early/mid 70s.Read full review
