The receiver is powerful and lots of settings to control your experience which is what you expect from Marantz and from a high-end receiver. The front and the back panels are pretty clean looking which I really like. Apart from all the goodness, I'd like to list a few issues: 1. Alexa and Google home integrations are pathetic. You can't change input using any of them. You can use alexa to play music from amazon music and pause/volume control. That's pretty much it. With G home, you can't do anything since G assistant recognizes the device as of type "alarm". I had a Yamaha before and the integration on that was pretty sweet. Come on HEOS/Marantz/Denon - you can do better. 2. The remote is quite ugly and looks like something from the 80s. None of these are deal breaker though. It is still a great powerful unit with lots of inputs and outputs including preouts which I plan to use in future if bought separate amplifiers.Read full review

Great AVR with so many options and features. This is the beginning step in our transition to 4K. The sound is excellent and plenty of power for our speakers. Set up was easy and on screen the whole time.

This replaced a 20-y-o HarmonKardon receiver. The upgrade in quality and features is like going from a flip phone to a smart phone. Using surround sound with the HK I thought, "The speakers sound great!" Now we feel like we are in the scene and are unaware that the sound is coming from speakers. Listening to music is amazing on my 40-y-o Allison Two front speakers. I can play high quality music from online streaming services (via wired LAN) and control it with Alexa or my phone. There is a lot of setup to do, but it walks you through the major stuff and it wasn't very hard once I was familiar with how it worked.

Bought this as an upgrade from a Denon X3200W. Love the way it handles the dual subs separately. I purchased the Audyssey app and so far am impressed by its functionality. The biggest reason I bought this was to take advantage of the built in ability to power a 5.2.4 Atmos set up in my room. If you've never heard Atmos in your home, I can't recommend it enough... AWESOME!! It drives my suite of DefTech speakers with ease. I am thoroughly impressed with the receivers capabilities and am looking forward to taking advantage of the 11.2 channel processing once I get another pair of speakers and a matching amp. Highly recommended!

This unit is pretty awesome. For the price it’s well worth it. I believe I have future proof my entertainment system for years to come. It has amazing features and room should I want to upgrade. I currently have 7.1 surround sound with a zone 2 on my Lanai.
