Makita-rugged and reliable tools.
I bought this to replace one that I dropped off a water tower while doing antenna installations over 20 years ago. The one that fell off the water tower (150 feet to the ground) still worked, it just cracked the handle. I duct taped it back together and have been using it ever since. Recently, I applied a significant amount of torque to it and the duct tape finally gave way. I figured I would buy one that had died and swap out the guts. However, this one is working great, and I have used it quite a bit since it arrived. I have other Makita tools that use the same battery pack and have purchased several replacement batteries over the years. rather than switch to a newer design with newer batteries, (with a lot of added expense) I chose to find a used replacement.
