It would of been a lot nicer if I could of watched it . Was the EU version and my DVD player sez sorry Charlie . I sent it back at my expense , would be nice if they sent me one I could actually watch . Fred

Stats with adults in live & not as meant to be with child growing up & friends.
Disappointing, Starts with idle of life of characters, not as original was shown namely as a child growing up & how they connected, not already i love etc.. wouldn't purchase again if known. Unless you know the story it wouldn't fall into place.

Adventure, religion, and forbidden passion clash in remote Australia.
I've seen the abbreviated series, and imagine that the complete series is more of the same. "The Thorn Birds is great storytelling, with forbidden love, the sometimes heavy hand of religion, and attempts to conquer a remote part of the world all clashing to produce fine drama.
