Bodum is best
I purchased a Bodum replacement carafe and received it in just a couple days. I was able to remove the broken carafe by loosening the screws on the frame then I put in the new caraffe, tighten up the screws and brewed a wonderful cup of fresh coffee to enjoy. Not a Bodum beaker
This item was advertised as a Bodum but is actually made by Bruntmore. Glass is thinner and diameter is a bit smaller than original Bodum. So, when you tighten the beaker into the holder it slips out easily. Not a good replacement. After some research, looks like the only way to get an authentic Bodum beaker is thru Bodum.com. They are unfortunately $19.99 and you can buy a whole new press at Target for $19.99. So, just buy a new french press.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Arrives in mail not broken very helpful.
I like my French Press coffee. Only downside is the glass beakers are fragile and break every few years, so I need to have a spare in the closet. It is great to have glass not plastic, beakers available at a reasonable price, that can arrive via UPS or US mail without me having to worry about carrying it home from far away or breaking it on the way. . I live in rural Vermont. I think it is cool that the beaker connects the coffee to science, a connection I enjoy, to me my coffee is a bit like serious medicine! Great replacement beaker, but slightly smaller in diameter.
This is a great replacement for my original Bodum, which I chipped recently. However, my Bodum casing is one of the all-plastic ones with the built in handle. This new beaker however, is slightly smaller in diameter than the original. So, it does not fit snugly into the plastic housing. In fact, it will fall right out if I do not hold it in when pouring coffee, or when washing it. Not great, as these are extremely fragile...but I am managing. Nice quality, less-than-ideal fit
We purchased this to replace the glass in an older model of the Bodum 34 oz. French press. This carafe fits into the cage, but is a bit loose so we have to be careful when pouring coffee to ensure the carafe doesn't slip out. We tried adding a rubber band between the cage and carafe to hold it in better, but there's not quite enough room. Also, the top of the carafe is significantly wider than the rest of the cylinder, so the lid of the press doesn't sit nicely onto the carafe (the glass part sticks out instead of tucking in). I suppose each model of French press is a bit different, so this may work well for most, but the fit is a little disappointing for the older model we happen to have. Other than the less-than-ideal fit, it seems like a good quality carafe.

Good cuppa
The product is great. However, it falls out of the frame every time I pour. The carafe is just a smidge too small and there’s no way to tighten the frame around it. The original carafe fit perfectly no falling out. So, one must be very careful when pouring hot brew.
