Purchased this drive to replace a failing seagate boot drive in my parents PC, used clonezilla to do the transfer. Although not the most economical GiB/£ the drive was an exact match for capacity which made the cloning a simple process. Would highly recommend WD drives for reliability as I rarely have one fail currently have (20+ WDs in various servers & clients), maybe I've just been unlucky with other brands. Performance of the blues is suitable for desktop use and wasn't looking for the expense of a SSD for what in essence is a file server / email client.
bought the hard drive because mine was failing does it s job very robust and surprisingly quiet great brand easly fitted
