Better than it should be for the low cost
I have to say I am impressed with this speaker. First it is light and has many features that make it a great speaker. I have seen some people not happy however I have been using audio equipment for many years and this speaker is a great one for the price. I am using this for smaller locations for live performance and so far It has performed with no hiccups whatever. I would highly rate this for both the level of bass if you want it and the nice clear high tones. I love that it has both a level Mic input and line in that includes RCA connectors. I have paired this with a subwoofer which I have not even got yet to handle heavy bass if I play dance music at a DJ job and if it is anything like this I will be extremely happy. Don't believe the hype....
I was eagerly awaiting this unit; was going to attach it to my notebook PC with my jazz backing tracks for my sax gigs; MAJOR disappointment. 400 watts? Take the volume control even at halfway and you get major distortion, and I wasn't even getting distortion on a Logitech THX 200 watt computer speaker at full volume set up!!! I seems the only way I'm going to get anywhere NEAR halfway decent volume is to buy a SECOND unit and connect them via XLR cables!!!! It IS very easy to set up and connect, with all the connections and inputs at the back very clearly marked however. One more thing; the unit gets VERY hot after only 30 minutes of continuous use................ The online video I saw touting how powerful these speakers are is obviously incredibly misleading, so the old axiom applies with these: buyer beware!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Faulty speaker
One speaker has an earth noise and distortion, because I did not use them for a couple of months and was unaware of this, the company would only fix them if I paid freight back to USA - from Australia. Good speaker, loud, portable. Reasonable price
Depending on your needs, this could be a great speaker or just a good speaker. It has good plastic case a good connection selection in the back and has enough power to fill a medium sized room. Rockville RPG8 Rocks!
I had a party at a beach house in Fla. 50 or so guests were there.I set up my RPG8 ,Plugged in my little computer and Wow! The place came alive .The RPG8 sounded better than a studio playback system! Not worth the waste of time or money.
Bought it as a monitor for my solo act...guitar and vocals... The Jack's on this are horrible... Plastic enclosed junk... plugs fall out... chance of shorting out...if it wouldn't cost me almost as much as I paid for it, I would send it back....so now I have to install my own Jack's to use it...and in a monitor position, it feeds back awful at very little volume....just cheap junk...Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

The 1/4" jacks are defective other than that these are good speakers.
I purchased 2 of these. They sound great but all of the 1/4" inputs on both are super loose. It feels like the cables will fall out by themselves. They wiggle so much the sound cuts from the rumble of the music. If you just use the xlr connections you'll be ok.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
