Ride control revamped
The performance of the bar is outstanding- made huge difference when I haul my camper and even when I’m unloaded. Instructions were good but the major problem is the horseshoe clamp for the bar bushing that attaches to the shock bracket- the holes were punched too close to the corner making it impossible to seat the bolt head flush to the flat mounting surface. Even worse was not being able to rotate the nut to tighten the flathead carriage bolt- which, by the way needs to be longer to extend through the spacer plate - just barely got the nut on. I would also advise grade 8 hardware be used at all locations as well- this is suspension after all. Quality control failed the good reputation of Hellwig- I’ve wrenched all my life so I made this work out- I elongated those holes so the bolt head now sits flat, and used my own grade 8 hardware. Please address this issues for other customers.

Great sway bar/bad instructions.
The sway bar is fantastic. Very strong, very high quality. However the Dana 80 specific section for the instructions are incorrect. The included plates instructions, and photographs do not apply my Dana 80 truck. I fought with the brackets and instructions for 6.5 hours. I finally threw away the plates and the Dana 80 instructions and bolted it in the stock location with the 2 hole spacers included for the Dana 60s and Dana 70s. If it not for the inaccurate instructions, I would have this completed in two hours. The sway bar does hang lower than necessary, which I don't like. All and all, it is a quality product with quality parts.
