Compact and secure. Looks like my daughter's violin case. Lots of room for magazines and optics in the full length side pocket. MSR would be a bit crowded. Only tried it with Ruger PC Carbine. Lots of extra room with that one and had to wrap tie downs around the two pieces. Would buy another if I didn't already have a larger take down case for an MSR. This is a great case. Only annoying thing is; the straps that hold the magazines, only four straps hold ar-15 magazines and the other 6 are for pistol magazines.
