I bougth this camera a month ago. I am very satisfied with this buy. It is an used camera, but it's in excellent condition. Looks like new. Like other Lumix Camera it has an awesome picture quality. The 5 megapixels CCD and the aspherics lens took excellent pictures. The only negative point it that in landscape mode, daylight or night, the autofocus often doesn't well focus the pictures. My general impression is that i have made an excellent buy. Thanks for reading, Jose
The camera is very easy to use with simple controls for various conditions. The antishake function is great and one can get near perfect pictures always. The photo quality is awsome, even with the zoom at full. I was looking for a camera that I could carry in my shirt pocked that had zoom and micro capability as well as good resolution photos - I was not disappointed here. Even though the camera only uses two AA batteries - I can get a lot of flash photos out of a set of the digital rechargables. This is a plus also. A lot of camera for the buck - hard to beat. The only downside I have found with the camera is that it has no optical viewer. You have to rely on the LCD screen to line up your subject. It is somewhat of a problem for me as I have trouble seeing the viewer at times and especially in our very harsh Arizona sunshine.Read full review
Camera works fine with true colors and large zoom (ca. 37-222 mm), lens with good luminous intensity, good for fotos with little light. Also movies with sound recording are possible. You can use multimedia- and sd-cards (up to 1 GB) in this camera. Fotos are regularly sharp except using full zoom without tripod. Camera lies good in my hand because it is not so very small as many newer ones. It works with two normal batteries which are everywhere in the world available. The camera has a 2 inch diameter display which is complete sufficient to view your fotos and will save battery power.
This is an excellent bang for the buck camera. Of course the LZ3 took its place now, which is also an excellent camera. Unless you need or desire full manual controls and you don't have much to spend, then this camera is the one for you. Superb image quality, super accurate color reproductions, excellent macro mode, top of the line lens/glass, image stabilization, 6x zoom, compact, and I could go on. If you find you have any noise problems set the image type to "Natural" in the menu, this will remove a majority of it.
I bought this camera because I had seen a write up where it was reviewed favorably. I have been using it quite a bit and found out that I think it is a great camera too. First of all, the functionality on it is great. It is very user friendly and simple to work. Some of the cameras on the market now have lots of buttons with lots of different features that require a lot of fiddling with to get it to work the way you want it. This camera is loaded with features, but is very user friendly and easy to use. I enjoy many of the features, but have really enjoyed the multiple shot feature. You can program the camera, at the push of a button, to take more than one shot at a time. My favorite setting on this is the unlimited pictures. You just press the button down and hold it until you're done taking pictures. It continues to take photos until the memory is filled or your batteries die. I took some pictures of friends kayaking on a rapid. It took thirty frames of each of them going through this rapid. It was cool to see, on review, them moving through the rapid a foot at a time. I was amazed that I could get some many photos of each of them in a matter of just a couple of seconds. Of course this setting doesn't work with the flash. So, while it is really cool and I totally like it, it has some limitations. The zoom on this camera is composed of two different facets. The zoom consists of a lens zoom of 6x and a digital zoom of 4x. If you zoom in more than the 6x then the picture doesn't come out as well. Overall, this is a good feature and seems to take great pictures at different ranges. I have not used the macro setting yet though. I really like the ability to plug it into a tv to review the photos taken. The quality isn't as great, but the idea of just taking a quick look seems to work out well. The usb interface works fine. The battery life is exceptional. I think this is a great camera and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good versatile camera.Read full review
