OK, since I've reviewed several of the TX seires, may as well say a bit about this one! Continuing in the small pocket size tradition, the TX10 is designed to be more rugged and survive water and being dropped... seems good, and might be a great feature for certain times. The downside is the touchscreen (at least on my sample) is really not very responsive when compared to other TX models I've owned - it's actually rather bad, and took a bit of getting used to to get it to trigger all the various functions. Seen other reports of this, so I don't think it's just me! If you can live with the "touchy" touchscreen, it's actually a nice little camera with a ton of "auto-intelligent" features built it, and is close to "fool" proof when shooting stills and video - hard to get a "bad" shot with this one! It takes a while to switch into movie mode, but it will take stills while shooting video, so that's handy. I miss the 3.5" screen of the TX7/9, but the 3" is very nice, and reasonably easy to view under most conditions. This is of course a "pocket" camera, making it easy to take with you, and while the zoom range is pretty limited, it's actually a very handy camera overall, and I'd suspect for many people it would do most of the things you'd ever want to do for family shots/vacation photos/eBy pictures. Small, light, much easier on the battery consumption than some of the earlier TX's I've owned, and makes it easy to get a decent picture or video, even in some pretty difficult light conditions. Wish the touchscreen was more accurate/responsive and more zoom range would be NICE (can't have it all in something this small!), but overall it's a good package, and if you want a camera that with a little care will be a bit more "rugged" than the average pocket camera, it's worth the look!Read full review
For the past one year - I was looking for a camera which can be used underwater. After browsing through many websites, I came across this amazing Sony Camera DSC-TX10, such a compact one which perfectly fitted my needs. You can easily slip into your pocket as its a tiny camera with superb features. Sony's picture quality is awesome. I am truly impressed by its features. I have only one issue with DSC-TX10 - it takes a bit longer to display photos on screen.
This is the most fantastic camera I ever bought. Small, light, of high quality, easy to use and delivering the most brillant pictures I ever saw taken of a compact size camera. I just love it, and would buy it again without any doubt! That was a real good deal.
great camera that can give really great pictures and so small it will feat in your pocket or use also as second camera when you did not feel like taking your dslr but still providing excellent shoots, love it!!!!!!
Great camera, specially for someone who likes the outdors. It is very small and light. Also, it comes equipped with a lot of features and it is very functional. Definately a great buy. We had another cybershot before this one that lasted seven years and worked great but it fall and broke. We hope our new camera will be as good as the old one, or better.
