This is the first gen. It is very similar if not indistinguishable from the mark 2 version. Sounds very lush and analog. Has been my favorite player for about 6 years. Mint condition with no flaws. Battery still last about 30 hours on a charge. Original box and accessories included.

Get One If You Can
Top of the line Sony portable player and it sounds like it. When paired with a high quality pair of headphones (I have Sony MDR-Z1R, Audeze LCDi-4, and Shure 535) this player sounds robust and effortless - very different from my Ipod or Pixel. I have ony FLAC files loaded at the moment. Of course this player has a proprietary Sony jack and it weighs more than a Glock, but you get what you pay for.
