This is a great little camera I love the little cameras that are hand held and I had 3 of the smaller cameras and they work good except when you try washing them in the agitator. after 2 more of the same brand and model of the small cameras I chose this one. I seen it back at the time I both the small one but did not have the money for it. I did not know if money made a difference or not. Now I have 2 of this model and love them both. they are not alike. there is different characteristics and attitudes for doing the same thing but they are much easier to use than the smaller camera and the quality of picture is awesome zoom is wonderful for distance and the distinctness of the closeup makes a world of difference. I have not had a big digital camera but for the cameras of 35 mm I have had in past for use I find this to be wonderful and no 35 mm film to pay for. Great for what ever you are up to if not the professional that knows the difference with cameras. Amateurs and professionals will love the use of this little marvel of easy to use and set for use.Read full review

The camera is older, but very nice. Fits my needs, but it is hard to find 2gb or less SD cards. Had to order one from China. Still Waiting.

This will be my 3rd Kodak 740. (dropped 1 in water and lost other one) It makes Great pictures for an amateur photographer. I won a couple of local contest with mine.. as well I made professional quality photos of my family that I had made into a 16x20 canvas print that was awesome! Everyone thinks it was a 'studio' picture... I haven't told them any different. The only downside I saw to this camera is it's size. My fiance purchased a 14 MP Canon, and the photo quality didn't compare. He was tortured that his more up to date camera couldn't compete. I am still impressed every time I print my photos at the quality!
I purchased this camera to replace one that I dropped. I use it in the garage to take pictures of parts so I can get them back where they go, the right way. The reason I got this one exactly was because I had one already that I use to take website pictures. It has the option of a rechargeable battery pack or just 2 AA batteries. It takes excellent pictures and videos. You can upload to your PC with the camera cable to usb or take the SD card out and use your sd card slot to get the pictures. It does have a small internal storage as well. The auto focus is fast and the flash has a good distance. The camera is easy to hold with one hand as well. The mini screen on the back makes aiming easy ans you can turn off the screen and use the traditional eye piece too. This camera has a bunch of features I don't use so I cant say whether they work well or not but the ones i do use are perfect. My only dislike is having to reset the date each time the battery dies.Read full review
I purchased this camera as a replacement for my previous Z740. I use it for my job as an insurance inspector so quality of photo is important. This camera delivers! Zoom feature is great for getting close up on roofs or to detail concerns at a distance. I paid over $300 for my original Z740 13 yrs ago and to get this one for less than $30 is a steal. Only reason I bought another one is that some of the parts were lost on my old one, the camera still works great!

I love the camera...I had the same one several years ago. The problem with this one is it doesn't take long for the batteries to go dead. It is very easy to use and I like it more than I do our more expensive cameras. What can you do to help me o fix it? I don't want to get rid of it but I can't use it if it doesn't work. Thank you and I'm looking forward to hearing from you. 6-18-18 This camera does not work. Please either send me another one and send return label for this one. Thank you

The Kodak EasyShare Z740 is a digital camera with many features but is very easy to use. It is lightweight and easy to handle. Pictures are clear and sharp. When my first stopped working I bought another as many other digital cameras are rather complex.

Awesome Camera! I own 2. Never had a problem. Keep 1 in my truck for improptu shots. I carried 1 shortly after issue to Australia. Great Pics. Has about 70% of manual features on my Nikon research camera that cost 2K. Don't be shy of the 5.0 megapixel resolution. It was state of the art when first manufacured. 10x optical zoom is a must, with a 5x electronic max mag boost. So.. you can jack the mags by 50x. This is not so good for closeups, but your eye can't see the edges of distance pics. I paid about $160.00 new 6 years ago. My second camera was Ebayed about 3 months ago for 30 bucks... and barely used. You can get an aftermarket wide-angle and 2-4x telephoto for about 35 bucks. This complete kit won't disappoint, and will rival the pics of you buddies who are shooting 700.00 camera with 14 megapixels. Uses 2 AA batteries that support a long performance life. You won't go wrong with this unit, and I don't have stock in Kodak. Would be a great beginners camera or for spouses that drop, immerse, and otherwise challenge camera durability. Great value, takes video too....awesome zoom for a non-professional camera!Very happy with the printing station feature and ease of use. Only wish it was about an 8mp cam and it would be the ultimate grab-n-go set-up for family use. Be sure to keep in a case because of the size and it's the ultimate multi-use friend I'd bought a long time ago.....
I was actually just looking for a cheap used camera to take images of some items I was selling on Ebay and I am extremely surprised with the quality of the images this camera takes. It is easy to use and totally worth the money I paid for it.
