Have used it a few times and need to get used to it. The reason I purchased it is it had most of the main features I want. Optical lense and zoom, uses AA batterys, and most of all a veiw finder which most small point & shoot camera's don't have anymore. The camera I have is a electronic view finder and I have problems getting on. All in all the pictures I have taken have been quite well except night pictures which I'm working on. The view finder is why I wanted this camera. Hope this helps. Take care.
I read many reviews, and settled on this because I had just had a D40 with 2 sets of lenses stolen in Newark. I wanted a good high pixel camera with a good zoom. From the pictures I have taken so far it has been excellent. Also the arcsoft panorama maker was a godsend and makes better Pans than my Elements 5.0, easier to use to. And What did it cost me on ebay $60 including shipping handling and insurance. I had 12 X that tyed up in my D40, at least now if it gets stolen I will be out a lot less. It still has Nikon menus and quality I have come to expect. Very Good unit especially for "my price"
I had a Nikon E3200 with which I start! That camera!, Then went for a P50, to the best of all compact of his time slightly higher than the Panasonic TZ5, then I wanted to go for the P60, and the truth under the same Nikon quality sign, another excellent camera I am very happy with them, would have been very good to keep the wide angle of the P50, I think they changed it more zoom, a detail that so far I have something unhappy is perhaps the only thing the focus and shutter button is very fragile and the battery compartment lid also somewhat fragile compared to other Nikon, but hey you can not have everything, good approach especially fast, making excellent quality, colors vivases somewhat better than P50, good ergonomics and ideal weight, I like the use of batteries, very good camera
I bought this new because it was small, had a decent length zoom, good resolution at the time, and most importantly took AA batteries. No need to lug around voltage adapters and chargers. It stopped working after 7-8 years and I bought a used one on eBay which I'm very happy with. I wish camera manufacturers would make more like this. Not all of us like cell phone pictures.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
I had been looking for a digital camera with at least a 5x optical zoom for a while. Nikon was my prefered make because of its overall quality. I found this Nikon P60 on ebay, decided to bid, and won the camera at a great price. I am more than pleased. Even though it is a "demo" or "refurbished", there is almost no wear and tear. The quality of the pictures is excellent. There are features on this camera that a seasoned camera user would love. As I use it, I come across new and exciting features, new to me, that make this a camera I will keep and use for years. I have printed several pictures on photo quality paper, and my friends think they were done by a pro because the picture quality is so very good. I am very happy with this camera, and I have a full 1 year warranty should anything happen to it. I purchaed it through Cameta Camera, and the several times I spoken with their customer service people, they were terrific. I would use them again. I know this review is not chock full of technical information or specs, but all that is not that important to me. I wanted a quality, dependable digital with at least a 5X optical zoom at a reasonable price, that took quality pictures...and I got that plus more. I am very, very pleased with my purchase. As a extra plus, the camera has a rubber like area on the right, so when you handle it, it doesn't slip around. I have owned the camera now for about 4 weeks, and have no "cons" at this time.Read full review
