Zyrtec is a lifesaver!!
Zyrtec has two allergen fighting ingredients and my allergist suggested it to me. Within 30 minutes, I feel relief. I always break the tablet in half because that is usually all it takes to work. When symptoms are more severe, I take a whole. Now, I do believe the effects of Zyrtec not only work immediately, but they also have a cumulative affect, so if you know your allergies get bad during certain seasons, using Zyrtec will keep symptoms in check. When I take my first tablets for the season, I tend to get sleepy, so I take them at night. What I find, however, is that I find myself groggy the whole next day. This effect wears off about a week in of taking them. This doesn't happen with everyone. I just happen to be one of those types easily affected this way. This is a good allergy pill for people with asthma/hard time breathing. It is usually my first course of action. Half of a zyrtec, and it never fails to provide me with relief within 30 minutes. Tightness in the chest loosens up, and I feel more relaxed once I am able to breath better. I sometimes couple this with Flonase, but that's another review. Disclaimer, I am not a doctor.
