This case fits my Gretsch beautifully. It’s built really well, has lots of padding, and should protect my guitar very well.

I went to Sweetwater Sound and looked at one of these (4/14/2023) and although they were great looking from a distance I just wasn't impressed with the quality. For what these cost it was just a flimsy and poor quality case for the money ($129.00). There were marks in the wood (under the Tolex covering) where it looked like it was banded together when still in the raw board form and cut out but never sanded smooth. The Tolex covering had a few puckered spots in it and the thickness of the outside surface edge all the way around was very off putting! The foam was soft and cushioned well but the sides of the top where the neck rests were lacking both in the top and the sides. The little tag that sticks out showing where it's made was cut short so that you could see it but not be legible. There was a pad in the top of the lid where the body sits and one for the back inside the case but this in its' overall construction would not stand up to the rigors of the road. The plush interior was soft and trimmed well and that was the highlight of this entire case. The screws that hold the interior compartment were a bit small and the compartment lid itself didn't feel very well attached to the neck rest. It too felt a little flimsy as if Fender who now distributes these is making them as cheap as possible with the intent of selling them at a huge profit. The latches don't have a keyhole inside of them meaning that you'd need to supply a separate lock for it. There is a loop in latch by the handle but this is intended for a lock to go into. These latches close but not tightly - they would probably not stay closed if you dropped this hard. The hinges were equally unimpressive and could've been more durable in their thickness and quality of make. I would recommend it only if you need a case for a Gretsch such as the Streamliner or Electromatic G5420T model which this is intended for but with a tremolo. This is the only real perk is that you wouldn't need to worry about the tremolo hitting the top as long as the bar is folded towards the end of the body. Otherwise I'd pass on this and get one of a better quality build. This will be great if you're looking for a case that says Gretsch on it that will fit especially if you're going to a local gig and not travelling far or for home storage. Don't buy this with the idea of it being the "End all - Be all" of Gretsch guitar cases. You'd probably want to pad this inside the neck area for added protection. Read full review

Excellent fit and function for the price range.

The case is solid but it had an odor inside. It needed to be aired out for a few days before I would use it.
